The wood that goes into Capella is special. That′s because Capella chooses trees from private land that Capella′s suppliers have cared for and managed for over a century. Only the finest trees are selected.
The Capella Environmental Philosophy - "Treat the land right and it will return the favor" - Because we own the land and resources that go into Capella, it makes sense for us to sustain our forests well into the future. Over the years, Anderson-Tully has instituted numerous conservation efforts - including innovative hardwood forestry practices, prudent wildlife management, and natural regeneration of the land. What′s more, Anderson-Tully built one of the industry′s largest forestry management departments, consisting of graduate foresters and wildlife biologists who manage our forests. It′s an environmental philosophy you won′t find that at many hardwood floor companies. As a result of Anderson-Tully′s strict environmental policies, Capella Hardwood Floors meet the certification standards of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the toughest in the industry.
Capella is made with 100% real wood. But thanks to a patented engineering process that provides strength, Capella Hardwood Floors offer advantages over solid wood floors. Plus, Capella′s thickness makes it better than other engineered floors as well. Capella offers a full 1/6" wear layer on our ¾" floors. That′s the maximum floor thickness and wear layer available. And we top it off with a unique finish to provide lasting beauty.
