Vermont has a moist, continental climate. The state has humid summers and very cold winters. In northern Vermont, the average temperature during the winter is sometimes ten degrees lower than the rest of the state. Homeowner’s main concerns in this state should be to stay warm and have a plan in place to deal with the annual snowfall which is usually around 60 to 100 inches.
