Nevada is the driest state in the United States and gets about seven inches of rain per year. Most of the rain the state gets falls on the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Nevada experiences large variances in high to low temperatures and experiences mild, short winters and hot summers, with daily temperatures that can reach past the 100s. This causes homeowners to adapt to rapidly changing temperatures.
